💡Fees and Routes

In Exchange V3, by default, the SummitX Smart Router sources liquidity from V3, V2, the AMM, and market makers to execute trades at the best possible price for traders.

However, users have the flexibility to customize their trades by:

  • Selecting which liquidity sources the router should use

  • Enabling or disabling multihops

  • Turning split routing on or off

This allows for greater control over trade execution based on individual preferences.

Check the fee rate and fee amount that is currently applied

To see the trading fee for your current swap, check the “Fee” section in the swap details.

To view the pool type and fee tier your trade is routed through, check the “Route” section.

For a more detailed breakdown, click the magnifier icon to display the full trading route.

Customize liquidity sources

At the top of the “Customize Routing” interface, you can select which liquidity sources the router should use for your trade.

How to Access the Customize Routing Interface:

  • Click “Customize Routing” at the bottom of the trading route display.

  • Click the ⚙️ cog icon in the swap interface, then select “Customize Routing” at the bottom.

By default, all liquidity sources are enabled, allowing the Smart Router to optimize trades using all available liquidity within SummitX.

Important Notes:

  • The router will NOT route trades between AMM liquidity pools and MM market makers.

  • If your trade is executed by MM market makers, it will bypass AMM liquidity pools.

To revert to default settings, click the “Reset” button in the top right-hand corner.

Customize routing preferences

At the bottom of the “Customize Routing” interface, you can adjust your routing preferences by enabling or disabling:

  • Multihops:

    • Allows tokens to swap through multiple liquidity pools for the best price.

    • Turning it off restricts trades to direct swaps, which may lead to higher slippage or potential fund loss.

  • Split Routing:

    • Splits token swaps into multiple routes to achieve better trade execution.

    • Turning it off forces trades through a single route, which may reduce efficiency and increase slippage.
